- Spec Mustang – SMG
- Spec Mustang (SMG), is a new class in the San Francisco Region of the SCCA. We’ll know this status as early as mid-November 2013. The class is based on the 2005-2009 Mustang GT that produces a fast and exciting race car with a reasonable build and maintenance cost. There is also a rule against race-built engines, with random dyno testing done to assure everyone is within a few horsepower of one another. This has created very exciting, close and clean racing in the inaugural season. With the strict rules, there is a premium on driver ability and consistency, not bank account. With a very adjustable and stout racing suspension, car set up is also a test of skill for driver and crew. SMG is off and running with around 15 cars built and many more coming! Contact us to have your Spec Mustang built today. CorteX Racing builds Top-of-the-Line SMG Mustangs that are front runners right out of the box.
- SCCA T1
- SCCA T2
- SCCA has accept Spec Mustang SMG as a legal competitor in the T2 class. SMG rules apply and SMG car can compete in the SCCA National Runoffs in the T2.
